We are seeing report after report about the financial struggles among seniors and those reaching retirement. At the same time, we continue to battle the commonly held misconceptions about reverse mortgages. Over the next few months we anticipate the release of some recent data showing the satisfaction level among seniors who have a reverse mortgage. This will validate similar research done by AARP in 2007 when they interviewed 1500 seniors who had a reverse mortgage. The AARP study pointed to an overwhelming satisfaction about their decision to obtain a reverse mortgage. While we understand the hesitation that some have about the program, what we know for a fact is that those who have a reverse mortgage are the biggest fans of the program.
